Blaise Legros was an opportunistic "captain for hire" who lent his abilities to anyone who would pay for them. Obsessed with expanding his fortunes, he sailed the high seas knowing no master nor morals, and was seldom loyal to his charges, often sailing them to their destination while knowing that they would perish. He had no allegiances or allies in life, chartering any that could add to his wealth.[1]
In 2012, his genetic memories were used by the Templar company Abstergo Industries in order to train their Animus recruits, under the title of the Privateer.[2]
Trivia
- He took on groups as small as a single passenger or as large as a small army, and for those who could not afford his services, they often found themselves "lost at sea."
- His multiplayer counterpart's title of "Privateer" is misleading, as it implies that he was under the sanction of a government. While he may have acted as a privateer on occasion, he was, essentially, a pirate.
