The Battleplate of Ares was a breastplate worn in Greece that was a part of a set of armor inspired and dedicated to Ares, the god of war in Greek mythology.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra acquired the breastplate over the course of her travels.[1]
