Bartolomeo D'alviano is a condottieri, like Mario, who resides in Venice. He is distasteful of Silvio Barbarigo and will do anything to assist with the latter's demise.
Ezio helps Bartolomeo free in hopes to get aid from him to assassinate Silvio. Ezio then leads a number of Bartolomeo's men around the district of Castello to distract Silvio's army leaving Silvio vulnerable. Soon after Silvio's death, control of Venice's military district is granted to Bartolomeo.
Later on, Bartolomeo, along with Antonio, La Volpe and Mario, help Ezio fight against Rodrigo Borgia in Venice to protect the Piece of Eden. Bartolomeo and the others are soon revealed to be Assassins and lets Ezio join the Order. Bartolomeo and the others help distract the city of Rome to grant Ezio less of a hassle while assassinating Rodrigo.
