Barnabas was a Cypriot resistance leader in Kyrenia. He was assassinated prior to the events of Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines by a Templar Agent, who then impersonated him and tricked Master Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad into killing Jonas. Barnabas' head was cut off of his body, and later delivered to Alexander, the resistance leader of Limassol, in a bag, in order to scare him and blame Altaïr for the murder.
