Here's to hoping that the final mission of each faction/club (if they're actual side missions) would be that you go and kill a Templar agent. That way, you could tie in various multiplayer characters, without flooding them into the main story.
The reason I'd like that option is that I can't really see Connor operating with the Assassin recruits in the way that Ezio did, by training them up and tutoring them.
Who knows though. It could work like in Revelations, in that a recruit informs him of a Templar agent who is responsible for a lot of injustice, and they both go together to kill them, though they play a more of a support role. (I'd expect Connor would want to kill the Templar the most)
I would like a situation where the Templar isn't all evil though. They're trying to make Templars more grey, but there isn't truly any "good" Templars so far, aide from Nicolaus Copernicus.
Maybe one of the Templars worked for them, but only to ensure the protection of their family, and with their death, Connor would have to go and safeguard their family for them as a last request. It could net him a recruit too, you never know.
