Baldassarre Castiglione (December 6, 1478 – February 2, 1529) was an Italian diplomat, author, and soldier. He was an Assassin as well, present in Rome during the Liberation of Rome. He and Pietro Bembo were keeping an eye on the Assassin's hideout on Tiber Island during Machiavelli's absence. Ezio remarked that they were completely reliable Assassins and important additions to the Brotherhood, as both of them had connections with the Borgia family. However, Castiglione soon had to return to Mantua, where he would keep making himself useful to the Assassins' cause.
