first off,CONNOR the one actually KILLING these redcoats,is NOT american.he's half native american on his mother's side,and half british on his father's side.which that alone implies something,but let's not get into that.connor kills the unjust.he has an inbuilt sense of right and wrong.he's not a grey area kind of guy.and connor's village was burnt to the ground and destroyed by british troops,so i think he deserves to be a little pissed at the british.and connor gets along with the continental army because he agrees with what they believe.but ezio sidded with the ottomans,and they their gaurds still tried to kill him on a daily basis.same thing with the continental army.and the colonists only kill the british too,and they themselves are also british,so are they being racist against themselves?you're looking at this from the viewpoint of a person in the present day.look at it from the perspective of a native american ASSASSIN!!connor himself says "let the patriots fight their war,i'm here for the templar"yeah he REALLY gives a shit about their war,right?and the reveloution is merely the backdrop for ac3,not the focus.in the trailer he even confirms the target is a templar by revealing the cross around his neck.and it makes perfect sense for the templars to be largly in the british empire.they're the most powerful force in the world at the time.the templars LOVE power.that alone is reason enough to get as many templars as possible into the empire.the colonies though?not many templars would be there because they aren't exactly important.a few here and there,sure,but not an unnescessary amount,that'd be a waste of templars
