MY GOD!!! CAN"T YOU PEOPLE SEE THAT THIS IS A GAME!!! WHO THE HELL CARES IF ONE RACE IS POTRAYED AS BAD GUYS. IT HAPPENS IN EVERY DAMN GAME BUT NO ONE EVER COMPLAINS THAT IT IS RACIST!!!

Sorry, got a little hot under the collar. What I'm trying to say is that normal people might hate a certain race, for instance the victims of WWII might hate the germans or the natives under the British crown might hate the British, HOWEVER a sensible person knows that the race itself is not at fault but rather the government is. The British government has always been taking advantage of its colonies and oppressing the people, this lead to the need for independance. However it is not that the British are BAD, its just that their system of governing isn't fair.

This is the case in all countires, other countries might have considered a certain country as bad but in reality this was paved by the political leaders and not the race. So just cause the British are fighting the patriots doesn't make them bad. They have no choice because if they allow independance they will lose valuable resources. So you can see that there is no such thing as a bad race, so the British aren't really antagonists. It is the Templars who manipulte the British government that are BAD so Connor must kill these Templars and if the Templar orders the soldiers to kill people, then they have no choice but to obey.
