Because they burned his villiage down. He doesn't have to hate ALL white people though. Also, people do you not see why AC cannot have RPG style choices? The Animus alows you to RELIEVE your ancestors memories, not CHANGE or write it as you go along. If they gave you a choice on 'go kill the brits, or the americans' they (Ubisoft) would be contradicting themselves.
