Both should be good! In terms of a single game it's more important that the historical story is good because that's where most of the game takes part, but in terms of the series as a whole it's more important that the modern day story is good as it connects all the games and gives purpose to the whole series.
Both should be good! In terms of a single game it's more important that the historical story is good because that's where most of the game takes part, but in terms of the series as a whole it's more important that the modern day story is good as it connects all the games and gives purpose to the whole series. I'm starting to see Assassin's Creed more as a GTA with lots of individual stories just in the same universe instead of one whole coherent story all going in the same direction.
