I simply undid your edit because your summary said weapons were not supposed to be in the article as they are not armor. Armory refers to both weapons (arms and ammunition) and armor, and is a word used since medieval times to describe the room where such objects are stored. My correction was based on that, as for the information well I do not know if it is true but it has been on the article since February 2011 Here.
