Assassin Dens were structures around Constantinople during the Renaissance, and functioned similarly to the Borgia Towers of Rome.

The dens had a similar concept to Borgia Towers, though with more variety. Ezio could retake the Dens from Byzantine Templars in Constantinople through different battle tactics. However, as his Notoriety rose, the Templars could begin retaking the dens, leaving Ezio with the options of leading a direct assault to reclaim it, or sending Apprentices to take care of it for him.

Ezio could also select Master Assassins to guard the Dens for him so the Templars could not retake them, regardless of his Notoriety level.

Trivia

  • Retaking a den will increase the amount of ziplines in the district.
  • It has been stated by Alexandre Amancio during an interview with GameReactor.tv that Assassin Dens will play an integral part in the development and creation of Ezio's bombs.
