Assassin's Dens are a new gameplay mechanic in Assassin's Creed: Revelations and will be replacing the Borgia Towers from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Assassin's Dens are said to have a similar concept to Borgia Towers, but with a larger variety. Ezio Auditore can retake the Dens from Byzantine Templars in Constantinople with different battle tactics. However, as his Notoriety level rises, the Templars may retake the Dens, leaving Ezio with the option to leading a direct assault, or send Apprentices to take care of it for him.

Ezio can also select Master Assassins to guard the Dens for him so the Templars cannot retake them, despite his Notoriety level.
