Hi, welcome to Assassin's Creed Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Al Mualim page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Hells Angel (Talk) 18:16, 21 March 2009

Languages

Hi, welcome to ACWiki. I noticed you've put some quotes on articles- this is good But since this wiki is an English wiki (except for the Polish section) and Al Mualim speaks English in the English version, wouldn't it make more sense to have the quote in English? To 95% of readers, Latin and Arabic are nonsense.

Also, one of your quotes was "Non nobis Domine, non nobis...". Does he really say that? If so, when? It's been a while since I last fully played through the game.

Well actually, "Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini Tuo da Gloriam" is the entire phrase which is the motto of the Templars. It means: "Not to us God, not to us, but to Your Name give Glory". Al Mualim only says the first part "Non nobis Domine, non nobis..." to answer Altaïr's question: what is the link between his targets. I think it's after killing Abul Nuqud or William of Montferrat. For the language, it's latin and Al Mualim has quoted the phrase in the original language.--PhantomT1412 20:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

All right, thanks for clearing that up. But taken out of context, it doesn't mean much to the reader, right? Even if it is translated, without context it means nothing. It's probably noteworthy in the article (with context), but not worth having at the very beginning.
I recognize that all Wikia wikis go against a lot of Wikipedia guidelines- we have spoiler warnings, we have quotes in the articles, and nobody appears to care at all about copyright but I feel that this particular quote is not a good one to have at the head of an article.
I am currently trying to figure out these articles about Templars. See, we have these articles:
  1. Knights Templar which serves as the main article about the templars, with info on the organization, AND killing them, AND finding them
  2. Anonymous Templar Knights which doesn't do much. It's about the individual knights that Altaïr kills.
  3. Templar Locations which is a list (in progress) of Templars in Assassin's Creed
  4. Templars which is just a redirect to Knights Templar
This is really sort of odd. So I'm trying to think, what would be the best way to sort this all out? What do YOU think? − Elecbullet 23:46, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Well we could place the entire phrase indicating it's the motto of the templars... like this:
"Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini Tuo da Gloriam"
―Motto of the Templars--PhantomT1412 08:34, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
We could do that. Hey listen, from now on, wanna use Forum:Watercooler to talk? There are like three people here so...
Ok: Forum:Templars' motto

Nice job

D and I mean it. Great job adding those gif pics and creating articles! ^^ thanks a lot~ =D - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:29, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I've just "learned" how to convert video to GIF^^--PhantomT1412 14:31, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to instead include a Youtube video of the Catacombs on the Secret Locations page? - Elecbullet 21:02, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Well if you want... but I won't be hosting a video on my channel, I already have some videos that might have copyright problems, so I can't assure that my account may live long... I think the actual way is the most acceptable situation for copyright issues. But if you want, I won't stop you doing that way :) --PhantomT1412 21:23, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't think Ubisoft would have any problem with you uploading the video. Generally, the only time companies should have a problem with Youtube videos is when the videos are redistributing content that the company is trying to sell, i.e. a MOVIE, or a SONG. Ubisoft is trying to sell Assassin's Creed 2 (or they will be at least) but they're not selling the video.
Technically, it is a derivative work of AC2. So they could claim copyright on it. But why would they? If you were head of Ubisoft, and you were browsing Youtube and found that video, would YOU have any reason to get mad?
Well, I mean that on my channel I have other videos than AC II that might have copyright issue so I can't upload on my account because I can't assure it will stay forever.--PhantomT1412 09:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Desmond in Assassins Creed 2

do you know where the information about the escaping from the abstergo basement came from...thx :)maltaman99

[1] Should we add references (source)? I didn't do it because almost every article don't on this wiki.--PhantomT1412 15:53, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Probably not as the actual wikipedia is meant to be the source...i was just wondering for myself as i wanted to read the full article as to where this information came from.--Maltaman99 10:21, September 30, 2009 (UTC)maltaman99

It came from the latest OXM magazine, featuring Ezio on the front. Toukashi 00:29, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Bullet Gun

Hey. You've uploaded the file http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/File:Bullet.png and, out of curiosity, where is it from? AC2 teaser trailer? -- D. Cello 00:53, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

It's from the E3 cinematic debut trailer.--PhantomT1412 09:54, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Glyphs Locations

Any initial plan for the locations, or are the citie's just there to say that it is in those cities you will find glyphs? Kranitoko 19:27, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Well I put the cities because associating the location with Truth Files is wrong (like said in the note), so I wait until someone will class the locations in each cities.--PhantomT1412 19:54, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Help?

Hey, i noticed you were basically the only person editing at the moment, so i was wondering if you could help me a bit. I'd like to put my new talkheader on all or at least the majority of the discussion pages. Could you help me out with that? Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 10:40, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry I must leave in ten minutes. What's your talkheader? Maybe I can put some...--PhantomT1412 10:48, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

ATeam

Hey, Phantom. I've been watching the quantity and quality of your contributions to the wiki, and I'm putting together a team of good editors to improve main articles and watch over them to ensure they maintain a high quality.
Given your current and past edits, I want you in that team. You're up? -- D. Cello 02:58, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Of course ;) Thanks for the invitation.--PhantomT1412 08:25, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much and Merry Christmas ;) --PhantomT1412 17:26, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
Istruttore, the links to check periodically.

I also will update the nominations on this forum post. Feel free to update it if/when I don't. -- D. Cello 22:54, December 27, 2009 (UTC)

Phant, you need to vote on the demotion of Templar's article status also. In fact, you (and the others of the team) need to vote on every nomination, since this is the reason the group was formed. Not hurrying, just reminding. -- D. Cello 00:02, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Well, I didn't want to vote on this one because I was mitigated on this case. But I'll do, don't worry.--PhantomT1412 00:04, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Done and.. done. No need to ask me to, just go ahead and move it if necessary. ;D -- D. Cello 02:49, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you ;) Well I would have done myself only if there weren't a page already to delete.--PhantomT1412 10:28, January 5, 2010 (UTC)
