:I like your idea Cris. I also would heavily dispute treating DLC weapons before ''Origins'' as "Animus mods", except perhaps those in ''Syndicate''. The weapons racks in AC2 and ''Brotherhood'' clearly make room for the bonus weapons, so that they always seemed incomplete without them. AC3's bonus weapons are tied to DLC missions we treat as canonical and in any case, Obwandiyag's War Club is perhaps the most fitting as Connor's long weapon as opposed to the replica swords. Also I'm not sure if you're going to keep the <nowiki>{{OOU}}</nowiki> template for the Animus mod section, but those templates are always for a whole page and go at the top of the page, hence why the notice leads with "This article". Animus mods in previous games
I'd say that weapons that aren't part of the base game nor its DLCs could be considered as Animus mods, regardless if they are historically accurate or not, unless stated in the weapon's description. For example, every downloadable item available through Uplay/Ubisoft Club/Ubisoft Connect should be considered Animus mod unless stated in the item that the protagonist got it during the main story and DLCs.
But I gotta admit, Animus mods would be something I'd consider just for Origins onwards. It's strange to use it for older games but it's true that we gotta do something with those as well, no?
What do you think?

- I like your idea Cris. I also would heavily dispute treating DLC weapons before Origins as "Animus mods", except perhaps those in Syndicate. The weapons racks in AC2 and Brotherhood clearly make room for the bonus weapons, so that they always seemed incomplete without them. AC3's bonus weapons are tied to DLC missions we treat as canonical and in any case, Obwandiyag's War Club is perhaps the most fitting as Connor's long weapon as opposed to the replica swords. Also I'm not sure if you're going to keep the {{OOU}} template for the Animus mod section, but those templates are always for a whole page and go at the top of the page, hence why the notice leads with "This article".
