Assassin's Creed: Initiates

Assassin's Creed Initiates is a project by Ubisoft, started on 1st September. The project is in an open beta status as of 2nd September. It includes a website, which is updated daily with news related to the Assassin's Creed series, tracks daily in the "Explore" tab Desmond Miles' history since the first game, providing informations about events, places, people, objects and messages related to the present in-game timeline, provides dedicated forums, on which UPlay users can discuss about various things, such as questions about the AC series, news, the "Explore" tab's map's points of interest, their own creations, their Assassin's Creed-related gadgets and collections or send their feedback about the project, and a link to the UbiWorkshop.

News

The "News" tab provides users with various Assassin's Creed-related news and serves as the homepage of the entire website, providing a continuous feed of the forum's latest comments on the right side of the page.

Discuss

The "Discuss" tab serves as the website's forum. As of today (2nd September, 2012), six sections are available for users to discuss in:

• Assassin's Creed Lore; in this section, users can discuss anything about the Assassin's Creed games: theories, doubts, questions...

• News; in this section, users can comment on the latest news.

• Memories; in this section, users can discuss the "Explore" tab's points of interest: events, places, people, objects, messages...

• History is your playground; in this section, users can share their creations, such as cosplays, fan-arts, fan-fictions...

• Treasure Hunters; in this section, users can show their collection of Assassin's Creed gadgets, like artifacts, statues, limited editions, books, comics...

• Feedback; in this section, users can give feedback on the site, suggest features or report bugs.

Explore

The "Explore" tab is a log of Desmond's activities in the present, and it is updated daily with every event, place or message related to the history of the Assassin's Creed games in the 2012 timeline. Here, an Abstergo satellite maps Desmond's position in different days and places, every day. The points of interest tracked as of today (2nd September 2012) are:

Also on site are living quarters for employees, paid by Abstergo to reduce commuting as part of the company’s environmental policy. Some believe that this is merely a way for the corporation to spy on its employees — and keep them on a short leash. Scramblers from Abstergo’s Akashic Satellite Plexus prevent standard satellite imagery to effectively pinpoint the Campus’ various facilities.
