I didn't bring Wikipedia into or say it was right. Though on that subject, a quick search on the internet does not provide any source backing Woodes Rogers' death being in 1732. Also, Annetta has no alternate DOB and ''AC2'' did not provide any clear alternate date (if it did at all) for when Domenico purchased the villa, it was cleared up in the ''Encyclopedia''. And as I recall, it was you that said the ''AC4'' databases are unreliable. That said, I'm not saying we should change it back, but now you know where the 'assumption' came from. -- {{User:Master Sima Yi/sig}} 19:35, November 20, 2013 (UTC) | I didn't bring Wikipedia into or say it was right. :I'm aware you didn't, but that was the source for the original (real world) date of death; more specifically: Woodard, Colin (2007). ''The Republic of Pirates''. Harcourt Trade. ISBN 978-0-15-101302-9. I never said the ''AC4'' Database was unreliable, I did say it was open to bias and twisting of events to present the Templars in a favourable light; there's a difference between giving one of your enemies one of your heroes surname, and changing an individuals date of death by a single year. --{{Signature/Jasca Ducato}} 09:26, November 22, 2013 (UTC) | |||

Date of death
Why are we assuming that the date of death provided in the database entry is erroneous? Last I checked, IU dates held higher priority than realworld, OOU dates. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:09, November 20, 2013 (UTC)
Because if any information from databases and the like can be considered unreliable, it's the dates. Like Annetta's DOB being after her and Paola's parents were killed, and Vlad the Impaler's DOD being 1485 in the description of "The Impaler's Tomb". Or Domenico Auditore purchasing the villa in Monteriggioni in the same year he was born. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 18:44, November 20, 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, but those dates only become unreliable when the game presents an alternative date for the matter at hand, like it does for the examples you have given. Since no alternative is given in this case, and since Wikipedia is not a 'reliable source', we should be using the one provided in the database. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 19:02, November 20, 2013 (UTC)
