Washington's Title

Though Washington was appointed as Commander-in-Chief, he never achieved the rank of full General. His rank throughout the Revolutionary War was Major General. Washington was only promoted to full general posthumously, in 1976. AOHistSupport 01:25, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
