Single Player
I'm not too impressed that the single player will only be 15 hours. AC2 was way longer than that. And Brotherhood still has a price tag of $59.99. Firebat11 18:56, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

I hope this game has an awesome story mode. It's what made Assassin's Creed good in the first place. Who thinks they should work hard on the story?

This is the best news in the long, great history of good news!
- Well, aside from the announcement of Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II... XD Remember to sign your posts by putting ~~~~ at the end. -- Master Sima Yi 07:11, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
i agree with masterassassin, the story is one of the big things that draw so many to the game, the whole dan-brown-style way of playing off conspiracy theories to make a fictional story that you almost believe is real. CarloGrimaldi 00:19, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
And the whole "Piece of Eden throughout history" is one of the best parts. If Desmond is in this game, then we know it's a direct sequel, and not just a side game taking place in Ezio's time. Makes me happy, I've been waiting to see where Desmond's story will progress. Key of Destiny 14:01, June 14, 2010 (UTC)
Personally I don't think Brotherhood is really all that much of a continuation, as awesome looking as it already is. I mean come on everyone, it's basically a DLC with multiplayer. The only logical reason that it isn't a DLC is that Rome is way too big to be a DLC, which is also why it wasn't in AC2, it's simply too big to fit within that kind of size limit. Even the developers have stated before that Rome's size is why they didn't put it into AC2, because it's practically it's own game. And now here we have it. I just pray that they do a (excuse the language) damn good job on the story and make it worthwhile because personally I'm not all that excited about the multiplayer. Sure, it looks fun, and it may have some replay value being that you go up against other players in various modes and maps, but eventually it'll just get straight up boring to me, and I know I can't be the only one who believes so. But yeah, the single player story had better be worth a good portion of the money paid for the game, it's what made the previous two AC games so enjoyable. Assassin-Rayne 07:32, July 24, 2010 (UTC)
Characters

Does anybody else think that the two characters on Ezio's left are La Volpe and Paola? I know, this isn't concerning the article itself, but I was just curious. -- Master Sima Yi 07:11, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- I do yes, I think that's the reason of the title brotherhood (that and the multiplayer in the game). Almost at the ending of the game you see Ezio getting invited in the brotherhood of Assassins with these characters and others. -- Altaïr 09:28, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Seems that there are going to be some new ones as well. I can only recognize La Volpe and Paola. Perhaps Mario on Ezio's right in a different outfit, though probably not. -- Master Sima Yi 07:57, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Well it's set in Rome so, you'll have new characters who have some hide-out/base there. I really wonder how big this game is going to be cause they didn't have much time to make it, so I'm not hoping on it too much and I'm not such a multiplayer fan. -- Altaïr 10:24, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- The guy with the beak mask will be the Medic Class kinda guy maybe Paola has a Twin? The Big guy will be the kinda Brute Warrior Class the La Volpe guy hmmm Kinda like a Leader Class with Buffs i Hope the Exclusive pre-order char is good old Altaïr
Im not logged cause ive done something to my browser 121.74.146.68 10:50, May 9, 2010 (UTC) Lucan07
I agree with Lucan07. The guy with the Beak thing will probably be the Medic or Doctor. Thats probably what theyll call him. The Brute guy is probably gonna be the Heavy Weapons expert. Using stuff like axes and Claymores. The guy that looks like La Volpe will probably be the class of Assassin that can freerun seeing as not everyone can do it. The one that looks like Paola will probably be the class that can blend in with a crowd and the last one thata looks like a Monk. Wee=ll i dont really know about him but he'll probably be the one that can disguise himself as a Templar or something. Spetsnaz117 23:00, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Claymores? Claymores? What are you on about? -
HeatedpeteTalk? - -Hhh... The two-handed swords, not the landmines (landmines would be cool though, just to throw money at them (nierk nierk)...)
09:52, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
I don't think it will actually feature those classes exclusive things. It would be too RPG and Assassin's never focused on that (gladly). It's an action adventure game, not a MMO. Expect a multiplayer mode, not a multiplayer game. -- D. Cello 01:18, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Actually D. Cello it will, games like Call of Duty have classes they're not RPGs and if you look at the official site you'll see weapons for class-only. Darkraider09 17:16, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
Actually D. Cello it will? do you know this for sure? we know that the weapons are character specific, but different characters doesnt mean different classes. and from what the PS magazine article said, it seems as if all characters can do things like blend and free-run. despite what i just said, it would be cool if you choice of character affected more than just your look and animations. CarloGrimaldi 00:24, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Gameplay
Aside from the possible characters to be featured, the gameplay is what I'm wondering about. Like how will the game likely be set up? Any thoughts? PassiveNeoluna 22:41, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
- I expect that they'll adapt much of the gameplay except for a few things (such as fixing up your own city) from ACII, so that it will save them time to develop this game. After all they don't have much time to develop it in the first place. Altaïr 00:45, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Well I think some multiplayer modes for the game may involve team missions, competitive assassinations and maybe even capture the flag. The game may even expand the story but some things may not be canon. PassiveNeoluna 23:10, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
What would be Cool was if Person 1(P1)was the Assassination Target then P2 P3 P4 and whoever else is playing has to hunt the Target and lets say P1 gets to Choose their Targets Character like maybe a Captain of The Guard whos good at fighting but not Free Running and has lots of Guards or a Agile kinda Guard and so on and so forth. Or a mode in which is a Borgia Courier and Each Assassins has to loot him first and bring back the Loot to their base without being Tackled or looted to Win Kinda like CTF

I'm not sure where the origional information came from, but here's the game page from the credible source of IGN that states that online multiplayer will include fighting for the Templars IGN: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood J.h.jaraub 00:25, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
Weapons was put under "new features" on this page, and things like the hidden blade arent new... but the crossbow is, and it would be awkward to split them up. i vote for just removing the line that says "new features" and let the reader pick out what's new for themselves CarloGrimaldi 23:51, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Is the crossbow actually a gameplay weapon though?? Because we saw them in ACI and ACII and never actually used one.......EchoAltair 23:58, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
hopefully, it is. they had to take it out of AC1 becuase crossbows werent even invented til the 100 years war, and they hidden gun beat out the crossbow's chance in AC2. Ubisoft might also think that making too many long ranged weapons will turn AC into just a crappy Hitman game. but i assme they wouldnt just pretend its in the game when its not. (or at least they wouldnt do it again, haha) CarloGrimaldi 00:13, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
The developers have asked me a few times about using bows and arrows, crossbows etc and I've said no to them because Assassins don't use them...... They are considered inpersonal and too slow...... At a convention not so long ago, I managed to hit a target with 7 stilettos by the time the other guy had loaded and shot one bolt with the crossbow just to prove how useless they were for an Assassin...... EchoAltair 00:20, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, ah, forgot about that. but the real question is how far where you from the target? doesn't matter how many you can throw if the guy is too far to be hit by any of them. Us templars like impersonal kills, theyre less messy. CarloGrimaldi 00:29, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
The 7 stilettos was at 15 yards I think (Our pitch was 16 by 8 yards and it was more or less the full length) ...... But the next day I won a competition by hitting a balistics dummy at 27 yards straight through the third eye, Sarmatians came 2nd only hitting the shoulder and the rest couldn't even hit it (But then, I was brought up to be very good with throwing knives).......
Impersonal kills were very messy..... Just read up on Rodrigo Borgia's death, he was the first pope in history to be howed in a closed-casket because of how the poison messed him up......EchoAltair 00:43, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Oh yeah, with the whole bloated bleeding thing, no fun. but that was his own dang fault for being a fatty and eating all the poisoned food. (he was just hungry enough for it to be worth it) But, hey, we arent all assassins, and i almost got hanged once cause i the spin was wrong on a knife i thew and i hit the guy with the blunt side, it was a rough few weeks after that... CarloGrimaldi 00:54, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
For him or you?? Lol......EchoAltair 01:01, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
haha, both. the handle of the knive hit the dude in the eye, he had to have surgery and died due to "complications". meanwhile i had to hide in Munich in disguise the whole time waiting for another chance only to find out he died anyways. disguises suck, there was crossdressing involved, i dont wanna talk about it.CarloGrimaldi 01:08, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, are you pissed?? Lol.....EchoAltair 01:15, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
I am. Very much so. It sucks to get hit on by men from munich. (no offence to people from munich) it wouldnt of been so bad if i didnt later figure out that it wasnt even the right guy i hit in the eye. some random tourist, poor guy, though it is his fault for going to munich on vacation, who does that? (again, no offence) CarloGrimaldi 01:24, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Playstation: Magazine
Shouldn't this article be updated with the information we have got from the Playstation Magazine article. You know, this one: http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:D._Cello/PSN_Magazine_%22AC:Brotherhood%22_preview!

Number of Multiplayer Characters ?
In the Multiplayer section of the article it says,"six to eight players are dopped on a map".
there seven characters;
- The Doctor
- The Courtesan
- The Executioner
- The Nobleman
- The Priest
- The Prowler
- The Harlequin
So there has to be atless another character, in the PSN Reveiw on P.50 its say "A player's target and assassin will never be the same person"

So whats the Size of ingame Rome ?
Because in the PSN article it said that Rome will 4 times the size of Venice,
but now they're saying that Rome is going to be 3 times the size of Florence,
so which one of them is it ?
Adam2me 16:45, June 22, 2010 (UTC) Maybe 4 times the size of Venezia is = To 3 times the size of Firenze
I heard that it would be 3 times the size of Venice. (unconfirmed) Firebat11 16:53, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Confirmed by play magazine, it's 4 times the size of Veneza. -- D. Cello 23:27, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
- While in the second Brotherhood diary, it was confirmed that it is also 3 times as large as Firenze. So it could still be both, but I find Ubisoft more reliable than game magazines, cause some even claim that Brotherhood= Assassin's Creed III. --Altaïr 10:45, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
Multiplayer: Giovanni Auditore da Firenze- WTF?
I think I missed something here, was it stated at the blog? War Clown 14:09, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
I don't know anything about this for certain, but as far as I get it I think that Giovanni Auditore da Firenze is just a singleplayer skin, not a multiplayer character. It is more a far more logical conclusion. The only thing we know about this skin is that you can get it by buying the Limited Codex edition (that's the not yet revealed bonus). That is all. Andro69 16:02, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, well someone better confirm this, or else I'm removing it from the list War Clown 13:33, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
And, now someone has created a page about Giovanni as a multiplayer character. I already mentioned this to D.Cello on his talk page. I hope he can gather some info about this. Still waiting for response, though. In the meanwhile I'll be looking for info about this myself. The more that seek, the better the search. Andro69 13:41, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
Amen to that :D War Clown 13:45, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I wrote the words Creed Giovanni Skin Brotherhood in Google and I got some pretty interesting results. Except on our wiki page there's a bunch of sites with 'One singleplayer skin for Ezio' written in the text. Since the silhouette in the Limited Codex edition could be Giovanni and he is also are only 'suspect' to be the not yet revealed bonus in the game, I think we can be sure that Giovanni is a skin. That's our only proof so far. Andro69 13:54, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
Well, speculations isn't good for an article. I guess we'll just have to wait for more proof to come War Clown 13:59, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know all the multiplayer skins are affiliated with the Templars. For example the Courtesan has the templar symbol on the fan, Hunter on his back. Giovanni might be a single player skin only since this is case. However this is only speculation. Hope this provided some clarification
Multiplayer Assassins
Those recruits Assassins from the trailer looked pretty cool. It would be nice if they were MP playable, too. -- D. Cello 03:18, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
Fake(-ish) Multiplayer Characters
There are a number of characters who have made appearances in the backgrounds of screenshots that may or may not be playable. Fan-made nicknames for these characters should really be confined to talk pages and whatnot until we actually know something about them. These include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- The "Female Harlequin"
- The "Female Merchant"
- The "Female Barber"
- The "Caramel Hunter"
- The "Saracen"
Please keep it confined to confirmed characters. And certainly don't change confirmed characters' names because of them. 65.5.183.85 21:59, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
It was brought to my attention here that all the characters in the multiplayer mode will be playable. These characters are seen in pictures, which means that they are in the multiplayer, which then means that they are playable. So yes, they haven't been confirmed by Ubisoft yet, but guess what, nothing has been confirmed about AC3, and yet it still has a page. These characters are in the game, and so, logically, they are going to be playable. Their names are only temporary until Ubisoft officially announces them and gives them an official name. A.J. two 22:09, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
While Andro69 states on that talk page that all the characters are playable, he presents no eveidence, and in any case, he seems to have come to the conclusion that these pages should be deleted for now. And personally, I agree with him. 65.5.183.85 01:04, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Found this, which makes me wonder if there's something else to the gameplay in Brotherhood. If you look at the first picture on this site [1]. Then you can see Ezio on a gondolo with some kind of canon attacking ships. Altaïr 16:17, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Codex Edition
I wonder if plans have changed, cause the latest image of the Codex edition doesn't display the Lineage DVD. Does that mean it's not included? After all it's not included in the Collector's Edition. Maybe they want to make it exclusive to the Auditore edition? Altaïr 05:18, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh yeah something else, I was looking (but obviously couldn't find it) for a picture of the Codex edition that has all boxes of all platforms (not just the Xbox), but couldn't find any. If anyone stumbles on this pls add it here in the article. And remember the reason it was replaced is because it displayed the Drachen armor on it, so an image without it is not sufficient. Altaïr 12:21, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- "The Codex Edition will only be available through Play.com"
- That's not true. I'm from Germany and I pre-ordered the Codex Edition in Gamestop.
- Sry for the bad english ;D
- Please sign your posts next time, and yeah I'm from Belgium and also ordered it from Gamestop for the PS3. Still I can't find a recent image that shows Ezio with the Drachen armor, with the Lineage DVD. So I just wonder why it isn't displayed any more. Altaïr 23:06, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Although the PC-release is still far off, is the Codex edition also be available for pc? Cause i saw some media-shops websites in my country, that some offer it, and others don't.

Unknown MP Character
This is Eagle1701, I'm too lazy to actually log in right now. I found a character for multiplayer though it just might be a np. he's in a few pictures but he's best seen in the one where the executioner & the doctor are looking at each other. thoughts?
New Characters
First, does anyone know the name of the first of Cesare's generals (as in the first one identified in Dev Diary #3; not Juan, not Nicoletto; the guy with the gun)?
Second, has a page been made for him yet?
Third, the above character and Nicoletto need to be added to the "Characters" section. 98.192.42.30 06:08, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Multiplayer Storyline
So far I understand that the player is a Templar using an animus to acquire the skills of an assassin to use against the assassins themselves in modern times. I read that the animus they use is loaded with other subjects' memories (people who had assassin's for ancestors), so it would follow that the multiplayer characters were those assassins. Here's where they lose me: The multiplayer characters are modeled and written to be Templars themselves now, even being targets for Ezio to kill in the single player. This doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone know if that is correct or if there is an explaination for it yet? Ombra Lupo 04:23, October 16, 2010 (UTC)Ombra Lupo
