Zhu Houzhao (26 October 1491 – 20 April 1521), known as the Zhengde Emperor, was the tenth Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, known for his lackluster leadership and childish disposition. One of his preferred concubines was Shao Jun, who eventually became a member of the Chinese Assassin Brotherhood after his death.

He was eventually succeeded by his nephew Jiajing, backed by the Templars, due to Zhengde's lack of a direct proper heir.
