Wulfhere (c. 640 – 675) was King of Mercia from 658 until his death.
Biography
In 675, Wulfhere invaded the south of England in an attempt to expand the Mercian territory. However, he was defeated by King Æscwine of Wessex and eventually died later that year.[1]
