The Weight of War was a belt with pteruges that was part of a set of armor inspired by the Spartan Renegade and the Spartan ways. It served as a reminder that war asked for more than just a ready hand wielding a blade, with the buckle bearing the unmistakable lambda for "Lakedaimonia", Sparta's ancient name.

The belt was made available to the Spartan misthios Kassandra via an Animus modification by the Assassin Layla Hassan, who relived the former's memories.[1]
