War Scythe

The War Scythe was a scythe made and used in the 5th century BCE Greece. As suggested by its name, this scythe was mainly used to cut down humans instead of wheat.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Behind the scenes

The War Scythe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, including the Spartan Grain Scythe. These are all the recycled model of the Sharp Cut and the Crescent Axe, both weapons in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
