The Waistband of Achilles was a belt that was part of a set of armor in 5th century BCE Greece.
Said to have been gifted to the hero Achilles by his mother, the Nereid Thetis, the belt was obtained by the Spartan misthios Alexios during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
