A person who commits assassination, the targeted murder of a public figure. | A person who commits assassination, the targeted murder of a public figure. Within the "Assassins Creed" world the assassin was the one to apply the lethal strike of major-public-figures throughout the Holy Land. Carefully investigating and planning lead to to the knowldege of where and when the target would most likely be vulnerbale to an efficient public strike. The assassin was widely known in terms of fear and respect. Fear for their reputed ability to fatally strike from any direction hidden amongst the crowd in public. This method of daytime killing was a certain and swift method for spreading the reputation and devotion of the assassin to his cause, and within the political arena firmly carved the message that those that walk the path of corruption shall meet their end in public, never knowing who in the crowd could be waiting to kill them the corrupt out of certain fear of walking in the light usually strayed from their current path to ensure that they be able to walk without being stalked by a "blade in the crowd". Through success the assassin, but mainly his deed helps greatly shape the course of the Holy Lands future. Somewhat making this efficient public killer a politician.
