Vinktes the Insolent (died c. 420s BCE) was a mercenary who operated in Greece in 5th century BCE.
Vinktes is said to have killed his own brother for money, after which he became bitter and ferocious. Those whoever faced him had to be prepared and well-trained, because if they didn't, they would end up like his family.
He crossed paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War, and was slain.[1]
