Vasilis the King of the Arena (died 420s BCE) was one of the champions of the Pephka Arena during the 5th century BCE in Pephka, Greece.

Biography

Regarded as a braggart, this Spartan had the skills to back up his claims. These skills were great enough that he bested all others, and was the best among the fighters of the Arena during the Peloponnesian War, gaining himself the best place at the monument outside the Arena gates.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, Vasilis faced the Spartan misthios Kassandra within the Arena, and was slain.[2]
