The Valens Aqueduct was a Roman aqueduct in Constantinople and a major source of fresh water for the city during the 16th century.

History

Completed by Roman Emperor Valens in the late 4th century CE, it was restored by several Ottoman Sultans, principally by Bayezid II, and by the early 16th century, it was one of the most prominent landmarks in the city.
