Umar Ibn-La'Ahad (died 1176) was a Master Assassin, and the father of the legendary Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.

Biography

In 1176, the forces of Salah Al'din laid siege to Masyaf. After finding the location of Salah Al'din's tent that was revealed by the spy Ahmad Sofian, Umar was tasked with infiltrating Salah Al'din's tent and leaving a message there.

Successfully managing to infiltrate the tent and leave the message, Umar was just about to leave when he was discovered by Salah Al'din, forcing the Assassin to flee and kill a Saracen nobleman in the process.

When the Saracens moved to form a peace treaty, they demanded that Umar's life be taken in payment for the Saracen nobleman he had killed. However, if the Assassins refused, the Saracens would execute Ahmad and continue their siege of the city.

After much pleading from Umar, who did not want the death of another assassin on his conscious, [Al Mualim] (Then Grand Master of the Assassin Order) gave in and let the Saracens take Umar's life. Moments before he was executed, Umar heard the voice of his 11-year-old son crying out for him from the top of the fortress.
