Toledo is a city located in central Spain and the capital of the province of Toledo.

History

In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins infiltrated a villa belonging to Alfonso Cavallero, a lieutenant serving under the Inquisition captain Diego de Burgos. There, they recovered a painting belonging to Leonardo da Vinci that had been gambled away by an noble associate.[1]

Around 1511, the Templars commandeered the forges of the city's famous blacksmiths, causing them to flee to Madrid. The Assassins reclaimed their properties from the Templars, returning them to their rightful owners.[2]

Later, during the early 18th-century, the city was visited by the pirate Edward Kenway; whilst in the city, he procured ownership of the famed Blades of Toledo.[3]
