Tobias Schmidt (1768 – 1821) was the co-inventor of the guillotine, suggesting an angled blade be used for a speedier decapitation than a rounded one. Sometime during the French Revolution, Tobias crossed paths with the French Assassin Arno Dorian and tasked him with finding stolen components to his invention.[1]
