Thomas Burke (c. 1747 – 2 December 1783) was the Governor of North Carolina during the American Revolutionary War.
In 1781, he was captured by the British colonels Hector McNeill and David Fanning. The Colonial Assassins launched a rescue attempt known as the Battle of Lindley's Mill, and assassinated McNeill, but failed to retrieve him.
