Thelia was the wife of the soldier Bardas.

Around 430 BCE, Thelia was unknowingly involved in Alkibiades' plot to get rid of a man named Diodoros when he framed her for adultery. After convincing the misthios Kassandra the Eagle-Bearer to be his courier, Alkibiades had the Spartan unwittingly deliver a cast of his penis to Bardas but stressed the importance of claiming it was from Diodoros. When Bardas opened the package and saw the dildo engraved with directions to give it to Thelia for "when she starts to miss [him]," he flew into a rage at his wife's supposed infidelity.[1]
