The Temple of Zeus was a temple dedicated to Zeus located in the city of Olympia in Elis, Greece. It was known for containing the renowned Statue of Zeus, built by Phidias, that was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
During the Peloponnesian War, the temple was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
