This article is about Temple of Poseidon in Heraklion. For other uses, see Temple of Poseidon.

The Temple of Poseidon was a temple dedicated to the god Poseidon, overlooking the ancient town of Heraklion in Octopus Bay region of Messara, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the temple was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who found an Ainigmata Ostraka outside in a small fountain.[1]
