The Temple of Artemis Diktynna was a temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis in Kydonia, located on a small acropolis overlooking the city in the Little Egypt region of Messara, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the temple was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
Trivia
- In Odyssey, the temple serves as a viewpoint.
- Diktynna was an alternative name of Britomartis, a goddess of the mountains and hunting worshipped in Crete. She was often syncretized with Artemis.
