The Tamyris Camp was a bandit camp in the Exile Hills in Messenia, Greece. Found on top of a hill, it provided a good view of the surrounding area.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the bandits, freed their captives and looted their valuables.[1]
Trivia
- The name of the camp may reference the Queen Tomyris of Massagetae, whom Herodotos mentions in his writings.
