The Sunken Desmoterion Ship was a shipwreck situated off the coast of Sais in Lake Mareotis.
In around 48 BCE, it was explored by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who claimed the treasures in the area.
Trivia
- The word Desmoterion is Greek in origin, meaning 'prison, jail'.
