The Spear of the Waiting Dead was a spear belonging to Charon, the ferryman of the dead in Aletheia's simulation of Tartaros.
Charon gave the spear to the misthios Kassandra as a reward, after she helped him uncover the identity of a thief who had stolen coins needed for a soul to cross the Styx.[1]
