The Spartan Grain Scythe was a type of scythe widely used by farmers and their helot slaves in the 5th century BCE Sparta, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra acquired the scythe after helping Lanike with the blighted crops of her farm.[1]

Behind the scenes
The Spartan Grain Scythe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found War Scythe, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of Sharp Cut and the Crescent Axe, both weapons in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
