Ariathate the Winner (died c. 420s BCE) was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography
Ariathate was said to be the strongest in his training camp and was a champion in races. Although no one was ever able to beat him, he maintained his humility by taking on anyone who dared to challenge him.
During the war, he crossed paths with Spartan misthios Kassandra, who accepted the bounty contract for him.
