The Siege of Louisbourg was a British assault on the French fort of Louisbourg in 1745.

History

While tracking Hermeticist Nicolas Court, Assassins John de la Tour, Achilles Davenport, and Achilles' wife Abigail arrived at Louisbourg. The English troops descended on Louisbourg soon after. The Assassins attempted to reach out to the French monarchy under King Louis XV, but the French chose not to augment Louisbourg's defences, assuming they could reclaim their losses in treaty negotiations. Achilles and de la Tour prepared themselves while Abigail searched the city for Court's safehouse.

John de la Tour fought against the invading British troops alone to buy the Davenports time to complete our mission. Abigail found the deserted safehouse with only a note saying “SEEK OUT THE SKY WOMAN”. They then fled to New York.[1]
