Being a former MMA champion Schut is quiet efficient in hand-to-hand combat. He managed to hold his ground against the Abstergo's Sigma team, killing at least half of them. He is also efficient with guns. His small array of weapons include a hidden blade and brass knuckles. He wears his wrist blade on his right arm though most Assassins tend to wear it on their left arm. Like most Assassins in the present day he does not wear a hood.

Arend Schut is a Dutch former MMA champion and member of the Assassin Order as a disciple of Harlan Cunningham, his lover.
