Siamun was an Egyptian merchant who operated in the black market of Thebes, Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra.

Biography

In 38 BCE, Siamun was approached by the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa, who had travelled from Lower Egypt in search of an artifact responsible for a "curse" that was plaguing Thebes. When Bayek asked Siamun for information, the merchant brought him to an empty quarter, intending to rob the Hidden One of his belongings. Siamun had his hired thugs attacked Bayek, though they were easily eliminated by the Hidden One. [1]

Bayek interrogated Siamun, who was forced to reveal that a fellow by the name of Irsu had stolen an artifact from the tomb of Queen Nefertiti and would be selling the artifact at an auction. He directed the Bayek who Tahemet, a historian and gambler who had an invitation to the auction, pleading with him to let him go, which he later did.[1]
