Shield of Hilarus

The Shield of Hilarus was a shield which originally belonged to Hilarus Maximus, a retired gladiator from Krokodilopolis, Egypt.

Forged with a variety of metals by a blacksmith in Alexandria, it was given by Hilarus to the Medjay Bayek of Siwa in 48 BCE, after he helped Hilarus win some brawls in the city.[1]
