The Serapeum of Alexandria, also known as the Sarapeion, was an ancient Greek temple located in Alexandria dedicated to the Greco-Egyptian deity Serapis, who was the protector of the city.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek visited the temple and prayed to Serapis for help on his journey. He later aided a local priest to rescue a drummer who was accused of stealing a Nubian lion skin for the dye vats.
