Scriptorium

Scriptorium was a writing institution in the Yasiriyah subdistrict of Abbasiyah, Baghdad in the 9th century.

History

In the 860s, the Order of the Ancients' member Zahra abducted fellow scholar and translator Hunayn ibn Ishaq and threatened him to translate an Isu script the Order had. While Hunayn was left locked in a room at the institution, he bided his time by lying about nearly translating the book. Fortunately, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq arrived and unlocked the door of his room. After he freed the translator, he investigated the premise. In the building's second floor, Basim discovered Zahra's connection to the Order and her home to be the Scholar's Estate.[1] Before leaving, Basim also discovered a chest in another building, opened it, and acquired an upgrade schematic for the Abbasid Knight Sword.[2]
