Sarclitas

Sarclitas was an offering altar located west of Melun in Melunois, West Francia.

Between 885 and 887, the altar was visited by the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir, who made an offering of three European pond turtles that she captured in the area nearby.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Sarclitas may be a reference to the modern-day village of Saclas, whose location roughly corresponds to the one in-game. Sarclitas was the name given to the village in late antiquity.
