The Saqqara Nome was one of the nomes of Egypt, serving as the necropolis of Memphis due to the vast numbers of pyramids and tombs it holds near the former capital of the Old Kingdom, the most famous being the Bent Pyramid of Sneferu and the Pyramid of Djoser.

Prior to his death in 48 BCE, Rudjek was the Nomarch of the nome.

Trivia

  • Historically, Saqqara was not a nome and served only as a vast burial ground for the pharaohs.
