Sappho School

Sappho School was a school established by the poet Sappho in Mytilene on Lesbos, Greece.

During her lifetime, Sappho served as the headmistress of the school, teaching young girls the art of poetry. By the 5th century BCE, the school was still in operation and was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
